Apple and Date Puree Recipe for Babies (4-6 Months)

Introducing your little one to solid foods is an exciting milestone, and what better way to start than with a delicious and nutritious puree? This Apple and Date Puree is perfect for babies 4-6 months old. It's sweet, creamy, and packed with natural goodness that your baby will love. Plus, it's super easy to make!

A smooth and creamy apple and date puree served in a small bowl, ready for a baby's first taste of solid food.

Ingredients:

  • 1 apple (peeled, cored, and sliced)

  • 1 date (pitted)

  • 4 tablespoons yogurt

  • Water (as needed)

Instructions for making Apple and Date Puree:

1. Cook the Apple

Start by adding the sliced apple to a small saucepan with a splash of water. Cover the pan and let it simmer until the apple becomes soft. This usually takes about 10 minutes.

2. Prepare the Date

While the apple is cooking, remove the skin and pit from the date. Dates add natural sweetness and are full of nutrients, making them a great addition to your baby’s diet.

3. Blend Until Smooth

Once the apple is soft, transfer it to a blender along with the prepared date and yogurt. Blend the mixture until it's smooth and creamy. If the puree is too thick, add a little water until you reach the desired consistency.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the puree fresh to your baby. If you have leftovers, you can store them in the fridge for up to 48 hours.

This Apple and Date Puree is a wonderful way to introduce your baby to new flavors and textures. The natural sweetness from the apple and date pairs perfectly with the tangy yogurt, creating a delicious and nutritious meal that’s gentle on your baby’s tummy.

Enjoy this precious time with your little one as they explore new tastes and textures. Happy feeding!
